Also, you could consider buying a more comfortable bicycle seat while you are a beginner and look into Champion.com, which has plus size athletic clothing also.  I recommend the Champion brand also.

Sallie - thank you for these suggestions.  I have found some clothing I’m looking forward to trying, and I had never thought of looking into a different seat.

There is a great site for plus size active wear: lilaplus.com.  It’s got gear from lots of different manufacturers for several sports including cycling.
