New to the Road

After falling in love with spinning, I decided to take it outdoors. I just bought a TCR W and can't wait to hit the road. BUT - I want to be prepared. Any suggestions on websites that might provide a list of essential items to carry? I can assume a patch kit ,some tools, & a cell phone, but I'm sure that's just the beginning. Also, any "how to" sites for repairing tires/replacing tubes - that sort of thing. I'll take any advice, tips, tricks, etc.

I’m in the same boat as you I just started mountain biking just recently & I know love it.

Carry a map if your following a certain route & if so leave a copy behind so family members know where your going. A water bottle [or a camelbak] and a snack. I would also suggest bike shorts [I like the baggy bike shorts] & gloves.

If you have iTunes you can download videos on how to repair & change tires.
