Hi, I have a Giant FCR 1 W 2XS bike, which comes with 650C wheels. Do I have any options on the tires so that it can handle light gravel or fire roads? Thank you!

Hi Wendy--
There are certainly a lot fewer options with this wheel size and your local dealer should be able to check distributor and supplier catalogs to see what’s available. I believe that some manufacturers have made 650c cyclocross tires-- Tufo was one brand I heard about in an online forum.
You may want to consider another bike for your off-road adventures to maximize your comfort and confidence, as well as handling.

The FCR has a road bike frame/fork design. You will be limited in the width and tread of the tire you can fit on the bike. 650c tires present you with an additional challenge. Unfortunately, there are less tire options with this size wheel. It will take some research to find a manufacturer.
