tcr for women

i started commuting to work 1 year ago and now i want to upgrade my bike from a giant ocr 1 to a giant tcr, to my disappointment giant only carries one tcr for women not the 4 models that are available for men....

anybody owns a tcr for women?
how does it compare to other bikes from other brands same model?

Riding Buddy/Mentor Needed in Connecticut :)

Hello Everyone,

Let me start by saying I haven't ridden a bike in about 12 years. So I'm pretty excited about starting up again. Not surprisingly things have changed so much in the past 12 years, I just don't know where to begin or better yet where to ride. I think I'll be visiting a bike shop this weekend and purchasing a new bike. Nothing expensive, just something (preferably a Giant) to start me off. I have a couple of old high school friend and coworkers but no one into cycling. So I'm pretty much by myself on this one. Any advice, and tips would help. My ultimate goal, to ride long distance and be fit again. Thanks Everyone.

Rack for Cypress W

Hi everyone.
I am a newbie here, just bought my Cypress W last week. It is an amazing bike and I am having so much fun.
I am having trouble finding a back rack/basket that will fit properly. Can anyone suggest a good brand?

Looking for a Bike

I am really interested in getting involved in cycling, but I am a college student on a really tight budget. I really like the FCR 3W but I just don't think I can afford a new one right now. I would like to know where I can go to look for used women's giant bikes. I am looking for a bike that I can use mostly for fitness on bike paths. I would like to maybe do a small triathalon after I train for a while, but riding with traffic scares me a bit. Any suggestions about looking for a good used women's bike that would fit my needs?

Knobby Tires for 650c wheels on Giant FCR1?

Women's Components?

Hey all, I bought a road bike and LOVE IT.. Finally got out of the hybrid long rides... Anyway, my hands don't reach the brakes fully so I have to reach for them - does anyone sell women's brake handles? I have Shimano 105's now and don't want to skip on quality, just want to know if somebody makes components better fit for a women's hand and arm reach. Thanks!

Overweight and Over 50

Help! I need to get training and in shape. I've signed up for a bike tour in August to Glacier National Park. I've got to loose a minimum of 20lbs. and train, train, train..... We will be riding between 50 to 70 miles a day over varried terrain. Any tips for training? Thanks!
